FAQ

Common questions,
quick answers.

No account is required. Pomo for Reminders works entirely on your device using your existing Apple ID and iCloud Reminders. There's no sign-up, no third-party login, and no data sent to external servers.

Pomo requires permission to access your Reminders. On first launch, macOS will prompt you to grant access — make sure to tap "Allow."

If you accidentally denied access, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Reminders and enable Pomo for Reminders.

Yes. When you tap "Complete Task," the reminder is marked as completed in your native Reminders app — and synced to iCloud if you have that enabled. No duplicate entries, no manual cleanup.

The current version uses a fixed 15-minute session — chosen intentionally to keep things simple and remove decision fatigue. Customizable durations are on the roadmap for a future update.

If this is important to you, let me know — feature requests help shape what gets built next.

Pomo for Reminders requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. It is a native SwiftUI app and is not compatible with earlier macOS versions.

Pomo for Reminders lives in your Mac's menu bar — the row of icons at the top right of your screen. Click the icon to open the popover. There is no Dock icon and no separate application window, keeping your desktop clean.

Yes. Pomo reads from your local Reminders database, so it works fully offline. If you have iCloud Reminders enabled, changes will sync when you're back online — but no internet connection is needed to use the app.

None. Pomo for Reminders does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Your Reminders content never leaves your device. See the full Privacy Policy for details.

Refunds are handled by Apple through the Mac App Store. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find your purchase, and select "Request a Refund."

If you're having a problem with the app itself, please contact me first — I'm happy to help resolve issues directly.
